What Is Called Film Club?
Conceived amidst the frigid glaciers of the icy North, Film Club--the "brain child" of Mike "Mise-En-Scene" La Fon and Reid "Best Boy" Bannecker--is a continuing film series organized around a central theme. Our inaugural season is Magnificent Obsessions and we've selected 10 films that, however loosely, relate to that theme in one way or another. (Or perhaps more accurately, we selected films that suggested that theme to us.)We're hoping to bring our friends and fellow film buffs together to watch these movies and, you know, hang out. We've got some really interesting things on the schedule and maybe even a special guest here and there. We hope you can join us for some or all of our program! (And stay tuned for Season Two: Hidden Worlds, Secret Identities coming Fall 2007.)
